Your data, our transparency
Privacy policy
This policy describes how Project199 collects, uses and protects your personal data. It is written to comply with both the FADP/nLPD (the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection) and the GDPR (the EU General Data Protection Regulation). Items marked "(to be replaced)" or "(to be completed)" will be finalised before the definitive launch.
Privacy policy details
1. Data controller
The controller of your data is Project199 SA (to be replaced), whose registered office is set out in our legal notice. For any question regarding data protection, you can write to privacy@project199.example (to be replaced).
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data strictly necessary for the two forms on the site:
- Waitlist: your email address, together with a technical "source" field indicating the sign-up page (for example "home-en").
- Investors form: your name, your email, your organisation and the message you send us.
We collect no sensitive data within the meaning of the FADP/nLPD and the GDPR (origin, health, opinions, biometric data, etc.). Please do not include any in your messages.
3. Purposes of processing
Your data is used solely to:
- manage the waitlist and send you our product communications (the story of the project, previews, priority access);
- respond to investor enquiries and follow up on the conversation under way.
4. Legal basis
For the waitlist, processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give freely by submitting your email and which you can withdraw at any time.
For investor contact, processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to your request and, where applicable, on pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Within the meaning of the FADP/nLPD, this processing is lawful, proportionate and limited to the purposes set out above.
5. Recipients
Your data is accessible to the Project199 team and to our host, Infomaniak (Switzerland), which acts as a technical processor for storage and routing. We never resell your data and do not share it with any third party for advertising purposes.
6. Retention period
- Waitlist emails: kept until you unsubscribe, which is possible in one click at any time.
- Contact messages: kept for as long as necessary to follow up on the relationship (for example 24 months — to be adjusted), then deleted or anonymised.
7. Transfers outside the EU / Switzerland
Your data is hosted in Switzerland (Infomaniak), a country benefiting from an adequacy decision of the European Commission. Any sub-processing that might involve a transfer outside the European Union or Switzerland will be covered by the appropriate safeguards and specified here (to be completed).
8. Your rights
In accordance with the FADP/nLPD and the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise these rights, write to us at privacy@project199.example (to be replaced); we may ask you for something that allows us to verify your identity.
You can also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: the FDPIC (Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, Switzerland) or, within the European Union, the authority in your country (for example the CNIL in France).
9. Cookies & trackers
This site sets no tracking cookies and no audience analytics tools
to date. It uses only a technical local storage in your browser
(localStorage) to remember your choice about displaying the information banner — so as
not to show it to you again unnecessarily. This information never leaves your device and does not
allow you to be identified or tracked.
The cookie banner is therefore purely informational. The day we add an audience-measurement tool or any other tracker that is not strictly necessary, we would first seek your explicit consent and update this policy accordingly.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures (encrypted transmission, restricted access, hosting in Switzerland) to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or alteration. Since no system is infallible, we encourage you to share with us only the information that is necessary.
11. Minors
This site is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data concerning minors. If you believe that a child has sent us data, write to us at privacy@project199.example (to be replaced) so that we can delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may evolve to reflect legal or technical changes.
Any significant change will be flagged on this page.
